Our Vision
We believe Light House Church can be summed up in three simple words.
Friends - We offer Sunday services where friends come to experience the real love of God.
Family - We want friends to become part of a family through LIFEboats where real relationships with God and people are made.
Faith - Serving on a team is a powerful catalyst to growing in faith.
Who We Are
Light House Church is made up of people from many different backgrounds who share one important bond: we have found hope in Jesus and are growing in faith together.
We are committed above all to God, His Word, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as we rely upon the Holy Spirit. Together, we worship, serve, learn, grow, love, and laugh as we follow Christ. We want as many people as possible to experience God's love and the freedom found through faith in Jesus.
Where We Come From
Light House Church began with a God-given mission to serve the Chain of Lakes region through life-giving Gospel ministry.
In 2004, fifteen people stepped out in faith to begin a new church. They started without funding, a meeting space, or equipment, but through God's provision, Light House Church held its first public service at the McHenry Downtown Movie Theatre on Memorial Day weekend in 2005.
God has sustained Light House Church ever since.
Where We Are Headed
Light House Church remains committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus by making disciples and sharing the hope of the Gospel throughout the Chain of Lakes region.
We want to provide excellent, practical ministry for the whole family while equipping people to fulfill their God-given purpose and serve others with the gifts God has given them. We endeavor to be a church our community sees as a vital source of faith, hope, and love - a church where people from all walks of life can find hope in Jesus.
Our vision is summed up in three words: Friends, Family, Faith.
